Koru Tour
The Koru Tour is an important part of your development as a player, and is an important talent identification and development activity for BBNZ. You will have the excitement of living, training, and practicing with our leading coaches. You will compete at the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup in Albury (NSW) against state teams representing Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. This is a fabulous opportunity to experience high quality basketball games against international opponents.
Commencing in 2006, the Koru Tour came under the direct auspices of the Performance Group (PG) at BBNZ. The entire Performance Group will have direct involvement in the planning and management of the programme including areas such as coach and athlete selection, teaching curriculum and daily itinerary, integration of sport science concepts, etc. The Koru Tour will be aligned with other player/coach development activities within the PG and will serve to introduce athletes to the requirements necessary for them to improve their personal development and to understand the requirements of what it takes to be a successful high performance athlete.
Who can attend?
Only athletes selected from Cluster Camps are invited to attend the Koru Tour.
