Rotorua Basketball Association will endeavor to provide score bench, but we do ask that teams be prepared to help out from time to time.

On-line Draw and Results
BBNZ is using new software for the draw and results. These can be viewed on the BBNZ website (go to: /Competitions/tournaments/rep tournaments/draw-results)
Tournament T-Shirts
Pre-purchased tournament t-shirts will be available from the tournament control room for pick up from Tuesday. A limited number or tournament t-shirts will be on sale from the tournament control room
Rules
All BBNZ tournaments use the rules and regulations outlined in the BBNZ Internal Regulations and the 2006 FIBA Rules. Please refer to these documents for full explanation. Listed below are a few rules you will need to know:
- Forfeit of Game ($500 fine)
- Playing uniforms must use numbers from 4-15, 20-25, 30-35 etc
- Alternate uniforms are required. On the score sheet Team A to wear light uniform and Team B to wear dark uniform
- Team Benches - sitting at the score bench Team A to sit to the left, Team B to sit to the right
- Technical Committee will be formed at the technical meeting
- Protest/Appeal Procedures and Fees
- Game Time/Breaks
- Code of Conduct
- Zone Defense - please refer to the letter attached. ‘Zone busters’ will be present at the tournament. This will be discussed further at the technical meeting
FIBA Official Basketball Rules
Coaches Workshop
Wednesday 8th October at 7.30pm (if last game is at 5.45pm)
Principles of Receivers - Offensive Principles in relation to off ball player movement.
A number of drills designed to teach players about becoming a threat without the ball.
Areas that will be covered:
- Ball movement
- Forcing closeouts
- Reacting on ball penetration
- 3 and 2 man drills to work on these principles
