Pero Cameron, the legendary captain of the New Zealand national men’s team, the Tall Blacks, has been recognised as one of the ‘40 Movers and Shapers’ of FIBA Oceania at a ceremony during the (Australian) NBL game between the Gold Coast Blaze and the Wollongong Hawks at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. Cameron has become a popular figure on Queensland’s Gold Coast since moving there as a player and his award was warmly applauded by the Gold Coast Blaze fans.
