Height: 2.13m
Rampton attended Iowa State University, debuted for the Tall Blacks in 1999 and was MVP at the 2000 William Jones Cup tournament in Taiwan.
He was a key figure in New Zealand’s victory over Australia to qualify for the 2002 world championships, but an ankle injury prevented him from attending the tournament. He retired from international play in 2008.
Rampton was NBL Rookie of the Year in 1999 and dominated the follow year, winning the rebounding title, Outstanding Forward, Outstanding Kiwi Forward and Kiwi MVP awards, as well as a spot on the All-Star Five.
He has now played several seasons in the Australian NBL with the Cairns Taipans, Wollongong Hawks, West Sydney Razorbacks and the newly renamed Sydney Spirit this season.
