Australian WNBL Team: Bulleen Boomers

Position: Guard

Born: December 19, 1979, in Christchurch

Height: 1.73m

McMeeken-Ruscoe first played for New Zealand as a teenager in 1998 and went on to a successful US college career with University of Buffalo.

She was voted MVP of the 2003 WNBL while helping Wellington Swish to the title, and has played professionally in Germany and now Australia.

McMeeken-Ruscoe finally earned selection for the 2006 Commonwealth Games after missing the cut for two previous Olympics.

In her first season with Bulleen Boomers, she worked her way into the starting five, averaging 8.8 points (35.9% 3pt, 87.5% FT).

McMeeken-Ruscoe was one of the first players to sign and was named inaugural captain for the Christchurch Sirens in the defencejobs Australian WNBL.

Mother Jane McMeeken is a former NZ womenís captain, while brother Luke Ruscoe attended Brown University and was a development player for Singapore Slingers in the Australian NBL.
