Born in the United States, Dew is now an NZ citizen and can play for the Tall Ferns as a Kiwi, having gained her passport before the age of 16.
She has been selected for the NZ Junior Tall Ferns and was plucked from the national age group ranks for the Tall Ferns tour of Japan after impressing Tall Fern coach Mike McHugh at the 2006 All-NZ Camp.
Dew also made the tournament team at the 2007 NZ U19 Championships.
