Just when it looked like Corey Webster would bolt in for Rookie of the Year, Thomas Abercrombie has entered the mix.

He is the second rookie to be named Player of the Week this season. Abercrombie was very active on the defensive end grabbing 10 defensive rebounds and blocking six shots. He was also active on the offensive end grabbing nine offensive rebounds and scoring 12 points. Abercrombie is averaging a double double of 11.3 points and 10 rebounds per contest. He also leads the league in block shots, averaging 2.67 per game.

Star forward Casey Frank and Dynamos forward Aaron Bailey-Nowell narrowly missed out on the honor after having strong games

Frank had a strong all round performance collecting 17 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals against the Saints in a 99-92 loss.

Aaron Bailey continued his hot form with the stat line of 19 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and five steals against the Jets in a 90-78 loss.

Other strong performers from the round were Justin Bailey who scored 32 in the Pistons 92-83 victory against the Jets, Phil Jones for the Giants scored 32 in their win against Hawks and Saints guard Mike Efevberha scored 36 points and 42 points in wins against the Heat and Stars respectively.
