Round Eight Player of the Week Link Abrams (Photosport)

What a way to commemorate your Century Game.

With his front-court running mate Tony Rampton out of the line-up, Devon Dynamos Taranaki forward Link Abrams’ game-winning 31 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two steals performance against the Cartridge World Otago Nuggets, earned him Round Eight Player of the Week honours.

Abrams joined the 100 Game Club on Friday night in what was also his 100th consecutive Dominion Finance NBL game – all for Taranaki – since making his debut on April 23, 2003, taking the Dynamos to victory with a 14-of-17 shooting night.

Abrams held off Nuggets forward Lemar Gayle, who had the round eight individual high with 40 points against the Waikato Pistons, and Waikato point guard Jason Crowe, who had 20 points and 11 assists in the same game.
