Fans are visiting the Basketball New Zealand website in record numbers.
An average of 2065 visits were made to www.basketball.org.nz last month, beating the previous mark set … the previous month (2051).
The best previous result came in June 2009 – during the closing weeks of the NBL – when an average of 1899 visits was recorded.
The best single day over the past months fell on May 7 (3528), when the NZ U21 Championships combined with a full round of NBL games, but it wasn’t quite enough to surpass the 3544 of August 28, 2008, the day after the Tall Ferns played the United States at the Beijing Olympics.
The BBNZ site, built by Catch Design, went on line in March 2007 and has had almost 1.4 million visits since.
