Forward Dillon Boucher was a flawless 4/4 FG to help the champion Brisbane Bullets overcome Gold Coast Blaze 115-105 away on opening night of the Australian Hummer Championship NBL.
Boucher finished with 11 points (including 3/4 FT), four assists and a rebound in 15 minutes off the bench, while Tall Black team-mate Craig Bradshaw also impressed in his Australian debut, compiling 13 points (5/8 FG, 3/4 3pt), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 21 minutes off the bench.
For the expansion Blaze, Casey Frank had 12 points (4/7 FG, 4/9 FT), seven rebounds, an assist and a block, but also five turnovers in 27 minutes.
Tall Black captain Pero Cameron was the other Kiwi in action Ö he had five points (2/4 FG, 1/1 FT), a rebound and an assist, but picked up four fouls in his 12 minutes off the bench.
Waikato Pistons import Jason Crowe led the Blaze in scoring with 26 points (10/18 FG, 3/7 3pt, 3/4 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and two steals before fouling out.
