New Zealand has two teams through to the semifinals of the Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup in Albury, New South Wales.

U14 Boys Kea progressed unbeaten through pool play Thursday with a 58-54 result over Vic Bushrangers and edged South Australia Magpies 77-73 in their quarterfinal that evening.

They rallied from eight points behind at halftime and four with a quarter remaining to beat the Magpies and now face West Australia Sandgropers for a spot in tomorrow’s final.

Friday morning, they were joined by another Kiwi team after NZ Kea accounted for NZ Koru 79-63, leaping out to a 30-13 advantage over the opening period and holding on. They now face Vic Bushrangers, who
