Forget the last result, the signs continue to be positive for the NZ Breakers ahead of their tilt at an Australian NBL threepeat.
The under-manned Breakers finished 2-1 at the pre-season tournament in Dandenong, going down 100-93 to the Sydney Kings tonight as the toll of three games in three days eventually told.
The North Shore club, down to just seven fit players after CJ Bruton cried out early with a bout of sickness, led through the first three quarters but could not sustain the charge as the legs tired, and so did their defensive effectiveness.
