FIBA U19 Championship for Men

FIBA U19 Championship for Men

The FIBA U19 Championship for Men is being held in Auckland from July 2-12, and is a unique opportunity to showcase our country and to let our personality shine through in our volunteers.

The 2009 U19 world championship volunteers will be the face of the event.

As a volunteer you will be the first person our visitors see and talk to at the games. Your commitment to deliver an event that is underpinned by a friendly and professional image is what will make this event a success.

As a volunteer you will inspire others and help Basketball New Zealand to create a legacy for volunteering and basketball.

We will be recruiting volunteers, both seasoned and new to the game, who can offer a range of skills and experience. We are seeking volunteers who have the time, skills and experience to make this an event to remember for the teams, for FIBA, for BBNZ and for New Zealanders.

The event organisers will start recruiting volunteers soon and have already been working to identify volunteers for our more specialist roles, officials and language experts.

This is an opportunity for you to enjoy the company of other volunteers, to be part of an exciting event and to give back to your sport and community.

In the meantime, if you would like to make yourself known to us please email Nicole Dunn, Marketing, Branding & PR Assistant for the FIBA U19 Championship for Men, at nicole@u19bballchamps.co.nz, put ‘volunteers’ in the subject line and your contact details in the body of the email.
