Hutt Valley guard Jasmine Davis willed the Junior Tall Ferns to their third nail-biting win of a five-game Melbourne swing, scoring the critical points in a 66-64 overtime decision against Frankston Blues U23.
Davis hit the buzzer-beating three-pointer that extended the contest past regulation, then chipped in the winning basket with three seconds left in the extra period.
Otago’s Samara Gallaher top-scored with 20 points and Davis 18, New Plymouth’s Terai Sadler compiling a double double of 14 points/13 rebounds.
The bigger JTFs dominated the boards with Josie Stockill of Hawke’s Bay also grabbing 11 rebounds.
