Entry Deadlines Approach

Associations are reminded Basketball New Zealand’s first tournament and competition deadlines arrive at the end of this week.
Entries for the under-17 boys and girls premierships and the Conference Basketball League (CBL) second division competition close on Friday, February 20.
The four under-17 zone tournaments from March 27-29 will be held in Whangarei, Taupo, Napier and Dunedin.
Team entry and an online rosters must be submitted by this Friday, with the entry fee of $500 + GST per team and final roster changes due on February 27, allowing the tournament draw to be completed no later than March 13.
Association teams must play at premierships to have a chance to qualify for the Basketball New Zealand Under-17 National Championships in Palmerston North from May 29-June 1.
Entries and rosters for the under-19 boy and girls premierships - to be held in North Harbour, Tauranga, New Plymouth and Christchurch from April 3-5 - follow soon after, due on Friday, February 27. Under-19 payments and final rosters must be received by March 6, with the draw to be finalised by March 20.
CBL registration forms must be received by BBNZ by Friday, with the entry payment of $3000 + GST - which includes a $250 + GST bond - due on March 6.
The 2009 CBL will be contested in the three-conference format - Northern, Central, Southern - from late-April to mid-August, with CBL Finals to be held in late-August.
