Canterbury’s Sam Evans and Harbour’s Anna Lacey collected the Most Valuable Player glassware at the BBNZ U19 National Championships in Nelson on Monday.

Evans, a nuggety forward, provided the backbone for Canterbury’s formidable defence during their run to the men’s title, while diminutive point guard Lacey guided Harbour to their second women’s title in three weeks.
