Round 13 Player of the Week Michael Harrison (Photosport)

American import Michael Harrison did not put up gawdy numbers in round 13 of the Dominion Finance NBL.

But he did stuff the stat-sheet en route to Player of the Week honours.

The CPS Nelson Giants centre had 21 points, three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in 38 minutes in a crucial playoff positioning 90-79 home win over the Easy LPG Bay Hawks on Saturday night.

Harrison became the second Giants, after fellow import Jamil Terrell took the award in round one, and the fifth different import to win the PoW.

The 23-year-old, who has been in strong contention for previous PoWs and holds seventh in the NBL Player Power Rankings, beat out Cartridge World Otago Nuggets forward Antoine Tisby, who had 29 points and 17 rebounds in a loss, Century City Wellington Saints import Ernest Scott, Youthtown Auckland Stars forward Casey Frank and Property Brokers Manawatu Jets point guard Kantrail Horton for the award.
