Just days in the country and in his first Dominion Finance NBL game, new Century City Wellington Saints signing Ernest Scott produced the second-best individual game performance of the season, earning round six Player of the Week honours.
Scott lead the Saints in points and rebounds in their 105-100 overtime win over the Appliance Shed Harbour Heat at TSB Bank Arena, shooting 8-of-17 from the field, including 6-of-10 beyond the arc, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the foul-line.
The American forward’s single-game 61.5 point Player Power Ranking performance is second to only Jason Crowe’s triple-double 70.5-point effort in round three.
Scott edged out two-time Player of the Week, Auckland Stars forward Casey Frank, Manawatu Jets point guard Kantrail Horton, Saints team-mate Troy McLean and League-leading scorer, Waikato Pistons guard Brian Wethers.
