Green Heats Up for POW

Round 10 Player of the Week goes to Appliance Shed Harbour Heat import Mychal Green after giving his team two important wins as the playoffs near.
Green had 30 points (12/17 FG), eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks in the 122-71 thrashing of the McDonalds Manawatu Jets. Green nearly grabbed a double/double scoring nine points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the 84-76 road win over the Devon Dynamos Taranaki.
In 11 games this season Green has averaged 18.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and is second in the league in steals at 3 per contest. He is also shooting the three pointer at 44.2%.
Casey Frank had a very strong game, but it just was not enough as the Stars lost two close games over the weekend. Frank had 27 points and 15 rebounds in the 83-81 loss against the Jets.
Jets Marcel Jones continued his scoring form with 34 in the win against the Stars and 36 points in the loss against the Heat.
Century City Saints livewire guard Mike Efevberha still leads the overall Player Power Rankings, but is closely followed by Marcel Jones.
