With individual game performances that ranked numbers one and three, Property Brokers Manawatu Jets point guard Kantrail Horton claimed Player of the Week honours in round nine of the Dominion Finance NBL.
Horton finished three assists shy of a triple-double in a loss to the Century City Wellington Saints, with 24 points, a round-best 13 rebounds and seven assists, then backed it up with a round-high 31 points, eight rebounds and three assists as the Jets stunned the CPS Nelson Giants on the road.
The 31-year-old American beat out Appliance Shed Harbour Heat forward Oscar Forman, Jets team-mate Keith Davis, Easy LPG Bay Hawks guard Paul Henare, Heat guard Hayden Allen and Saints centre Nick Horvath.
