NZ Tall Fern Kate McMeeken-Ruscoe led all scorers to guide Frankston Lady Blues to a rare win in the South East Australia Basketball League.

The Blues defeated Albury Wodonga Lady Bandits 89-82 with McMeeken-Ruscoe contributing 24 points (8/19 FG, 8/8 FT), five rebounds, a block and a steal in 39 minutes.

The result wasnít enough to budge Frankston (2-9) off the bottom of the league table.

International team-mate Lisa Pardon had a great shooting night to help Launceston Tornadoes beat visiting Nunawading Spectres 88-79.

Pardon had 29 points (12/17 FG, 5/7 3pt), three rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in 34 minutes, as they boosted their regular season record to 4-7.

The Tornadoes had lost 62-67 to Nunawading earlier in the weekend with Pardon contributing 16 points (5/17 FG, 4/8 3pt, 2/2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
