Kea Boys Still Unbeaten
Tagged in: Athletes, Coaching, National Teams, NZ Koru
The NZ Koru programme managed only one win on the third day of competition at the Australian Junior Country Basketball Cup in Albury … but it was a key one.
U14 Boys Kea maintained their unbeaten record (4-0) with a 65-54 win over NSW Waratahs and now face a cross-pool matchup with NSW Kookaburras before the quarterfinals on Friday.
The remainder of the BBNZ development contingent experienced a tough day at the office, unable to make a dent against opposition from New South Wales and Victoria.
Both U14 Girls teams acquitted themselves well, though – the Kea (2-2) and Koru (1-3) each finished with seven points of NSW Waratahs and Vic Goldminers respectively.
