NZ Tall Black Paora Winitana had 17 points as Harvey Norman NZ Breakers went down to the Sydney Kings 86-96 in their third pre-season match across the Tasman.

The Breakers enjoyed several periods of dominance, reeling off 11 unanswered points in the second quarter for a seven-point advantage.

They still led by five early in the final term, but succumbed to an 11-0 run from the Kings down the stretch.

American Rick Rickert chalked up a “double double” of 12 points/12 rebounds, while Aussie Oscar Forman had 15 points, consisting of five treys.

Breakers coach Andrej Lemanis was pleased with the spread of scorers and the defensive effort.

ìIt was a good game for us to go through, and I canít wait to review the video of the match to determine adjustments and improvements,î Lemanis said.

The Breakers now head to the Gold Coast to play NBL newcomers the Blaze on Monday and the champion Brisbane Bullets the following night.
