Stacey Lambert has re-signed as Manawatu Jets captain, joining former league rebound champion Miles Pearce for the 2008 Dominion Finance NBL season.
“Stacey provides us with an experienced NBL guard and great leadership to the team as captain,” says Jets coach Tim McTamney.
Says Lambert: “I am very excited to be part of an organisation that’s going forward.
“The new franchise management model gives me confidence for the season ahead. We look forward to securing a top team for 2008 and I‚Äôm optimistic about being a top-four contender.‚Äù
The Jets are also welcoming the return of Manawatu crowd favourite Pearce after a stint with the Otago Nuggets.
“Miles has a big athletic body and an ability to run the floor hard. He is valuable at both ends of the floor” says McTamney.
Pearce is excited about returning to Palmerston North.
“Tim is securing some talented players and I’m looking forward to a successful season,” he says.
