The next World Masters Games will be held in Sydney from October 10-18, 2009 and New Zealand-based organisers are looking to form a club to enter Kiwi teams.
The World Masters Games are held every four years and attract up to 25,000 competitors in 28 different sports, with basketball one of the core sports.
Age criteria is 30 or over as at Deccember 31, 2009. Age categories are: 30+, 35+ 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+ and 70+; with three different levels of competition: premier, competitive and recreational.
New Zealand masters organisers are looking to form a “club” to enter teams from NZ in as many age groups as possible and are seeking assistance in naming this club.
