Taranaki Mountainairs have turned the tables against the Wellington Saints winning 107-98
After a 30 point loss the previous night the Mountainairs came out red hot behind the shooting of import guard Jack Leasure leading by as many as 16 in the second quarter.
Saints fought back to close it to 58 each at the half. But in the third the Mountainairs regain the momentum leading by as many as 14.
New point guard signing Tyrone Davey had a solid game shootin the three and dishing to the import big man DeMarshay Johnson who had a much better outing scoring the ball.
In Christchurch, the Southland Sharks nearly knocked off the hometeam Cougars, losing in overtime 82-80. In the afternoon. The Nuggets had a close 75-74 victory over the Southland Sharks who were much improved after losing to the Nelson Giants 95-65 earlier in the day.
In the final game of the tournament, the Cougars destroyed the Giants 105-71 to remain unbeaten for the weekend.
