The Nelson Basketball Summer Camp is back … and what a great place to holiday and hone your basketball skills.

New Zealand’s longest running summer camp will be hosted by the NBA from January 22-24 and is open to all players aged 12–18.

Participants receive a reversible training singlet and coaching manual along with quality coaching throughout the camp.

With registrations limited to the first 80 participants, the coach-player ratio of 1:10 makes for quality time spent on tasks and individual input. Players are allocated one coach for the duration, so they can progressively cover all aspects of individual and team offense and defence.

The camp also runs in conjunction with the Referee Summer Camp, so players have sessions with referees outlining the 2010 Points of Emphasis and get to understand why calls are made.

Further information and registration forms are attached and also available on the Nelson Basketball website, www.nelsonbasketball.co.nz .
