NZ U13 Update
Tagged in: Associations, BBNZ News
In the wake of the weekend’s earthquake, Canterbury Basketball has given the following update on the status of venues for the upcoming NZ U13 Championships …
Cowles Stadium is functional and currently being used as a civil defense base – housing for people who have lost their homes.
QEII Stadium has not yet been inspected – we should have a status report early next week.
In order for BBNZ to make a final decision on where this event will be held, association input is vital. BBNZ must receive confirmation of your commitment in regards to attending:
A) NZ U13 Nationals in Christchurch
or
B) NZ U13 Nationals at a central location, decided by BBNZ
Failing to respond will be taken as option A – your teams will attend the nationals in Christchurch.
BBNZ must have a response in writing by 2pm, Friday, September 10. Direct correspondence to BBNZ tournaments coordinator Maree Taylor (Ph 027 687 5383 or tournaments@basketball.org.nz).
