After the 49 point performance by Eric Devendorf in round one, Waikato Pistons have another player of the week, Thomas Abercrombie.

37 points (15/20 FG, 2/4 3pt, 5/7 FT), 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks
In the 96-78 win over the Taranaki Mountainairs.

The Airs had no answer for Abercrombie as he shot 75% from the field and blocking an amazing five shots. Abercrombie is fifth place in the player power rankings and his team mate Devendorf leads the rankings after a solid 25 point performance against the Airs as well.

Southland Sharks import Rene Rougeau had a Dillon Boucher like stat line with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, 7 blocks and 5 steals against Boucher and the Heat. The Heat won the game though thanks to big man Rick Rickert who had a double/double of 24 points 11 rebounds and Corey Webster who had a ridiculous 10 steals.

Down south Christchurch Cougars guard Jeremy Kench had 25 points and 7 assists in their romp over the OceanaGold Nuggets.

Phil Jones continued his dominant scoring with 29 points and teammate Michael Harrison had 22 points and 10 rebounds in their win over the Wellington Saints.

Saints did get a win earlier in the week against the Cougars thanks to Darryl Hudson who scored 33.

The Bay Hawks had one of the most dominant first quarters you will see winning it 40-8 against the Manawatu Jets. Jets could not recover and a former player for them Jamil Terrell scored 23 points in the 118-76 win.
