Southland Sharks start their pre-season well with a five-point win over last year’s finalists
Final score was a 70-65 win over the Fico Finance Nelson Giants. The Christchurch Cougars had a comfortable win other the Otago Nuggets with the final score of 76-59.
In Porirua, the Wellington Saints had an emphatic thirty point win over the Taranaki Mountainairs. The Mountainairs had no answer for Tall Black Lindsay Tait in transition and also the inside presence of Saints returnee Nick Horvarth, final score 99-69.
