Sharks Sign Running Rebel

Sharks have secured their first import guard/forward Rene Rougeau who hails from the famous University of Las Vegas Running Rebels.
Rougeau spent his whole collegiate career for the Running Rebels where ironically Sharks coach Richard Dickel‘s brother – Tall Black legend Mark Dickel – played in 1996-2000, becoming third in the school’s all time assist list at 776.
In 2008, Rougeau started for the Rebels who play in the Mountain West Conference averaging nearly eleven points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 32 games. As a junior he led the Rebels in steals at 2.14 per game which was second in the conference.
At 1.98m, Rougeau is a very long, being able to defend both forward and guard positions. His defence and block shot abilty led to his selection in the Mountain West Conference All Defensive Team in 2009.
The 23 year old is from Rancho Cucamonga, California, and this will be his first stint of professional basketball outside of the US.
