Two weeks ago, Hendrix grabbed the countryís attention for all the wrong resasons, but in Round 11, he rose to prominence for a dominating performance against league leaders Harbour.
He had already run up a ìdouble doubleî (10 points/12 rebounds) by halftime and, with fellow import Nick Horvath, enjoyed a clear superiority over vaunted Heat counterparts Tim Behrendorff and Oscar Forman.
Hendrix headed off match-winning performances from fellow Americans Branduinn Fullove (Cartridge World Otago Nuggets) and debutant Jason Crowe (U Park It Waikato Pistons), while the best Kiwi showing of the weekend was that of Hayden Allen (Appliance Shed Harbour Heat) against Blue Chip Nelson Giants.
