New Zealand rounded out men’s pool play with a 54-87 loss to South Australia at the Australian U20 state championships in Gawler, South Australia.

They were just four points down after the opening quarter against SA, but slipped from contention during an 11-22 second period and fell away badly over the final quarter (11-28).
Wellington guard Hemi Pairama-Lewington led the Kiwis with 11 points (4/11 FG, 3/3 FT), while West Auckland forward Duane Bailey had 10 points (4/12 FG, 2/2 FT) and six rebounds.
They were competitive around the boards, but committed 25 turnovers and shot just 32% FG (1/15 3pt).
