“Teaching Effective Defence”

Trent Adam, Devon Dynamos Taranaki Head Coach
In his second year as an NBL head coach, Trent Adam is one of the real up-and-coming New Zealand coaches in the competition. Over the past two seasons, he has quietly built the Dynamos into a solid outfit and Taranaki fans have been buoyed by their teams efforts in 2008. In this session, Adam will share methods and philosophies that will help coaches improve team’s effectiveness at the defensive end.

“National Team Playbook”

Kenny McFadden and Darrell Pene, JTB & JTF Head Coaches
In this session, national junior team head coaches Kenny McFadden and Darrell Pene will share aspects of their teams’ playbooks with coaches. Going beyond the X & O’s, they will focus on the key offensive principles of “reading the defence” and “watching team mates”, which is a common feature of the best offensive teams.
