Canterbury powered their way into the girl’s final at the Oreo Under-19 National Championships in Tauranga on Sunday.

The Cantabs made short work of New Plymouth in the first semifinal, winning 104-58, setting up a final encounter with Waitakere, who defeated North Harbour 61-55 in the other semifinal, tip-off 2.15pm on Monday.

Wellington beat Porirua 91-82 in an all-Capital semifinal to advance to the boy’s title game at 4pm against North Harbour, 66-52 winners over Otago in the other semifinal.
