University Team get win over Philippines!

The New Zealand Men’s University Team notched up a much deserved win yesterday against the Philippines by a margin of 102-55, at the World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
After an even first quarter, NZ went on a 32-10 run in the second to lead at half time 48-22. A huge rebound count of 60 provided NZ with many second chance points.
“Rory Fannon was good for us and played good D on their big man” said Chris Millbank, team manager.
Richie Edwards was big with 24 points and 10 rebounds, Dion Prewster also stood out with 15 points, 8 rebounds. Marco Alexander was again high up in the scoresheet with 21 points, and Josh Bloxham was solid with 15 and 6.
Everyone got on the scoresheet and mins were spread amongst the team.
