Tall Blacks coach Nenad Vucinic has guided last-placed Darussafaka to their sixth win of the Turkish TBL season, 82-68 over Tofas.

The cellar dwellers benefited from the play of American Jermareo Davidson (21 points, six rebounds and four steals), but had to play without the league’s leading scorer, former NBA guard Quincy Douby (24.1 points).

The result was Tofas’ sixth consecutive loss.

Darussafaka are now 6-20, but still two games behind nearest rivals Oyak Renault with just four rounds remaining in the regular season to escape the bottom spot on the points table.

In Switzerland, Brendon Polyblank’s Fribourg club, sitting third on the LNA table, dropped a key match-up 70-75 to second-placed SAV Vacallo and are now 21-9 for the season.

Last week, Polyblank had a double double of 21 points (8/14 FG, 2/5 3pt, 3/4 FT) and 10 rebounds to lead his team to a 91-84 victory over BBC Nyon.

Meanwhile, Tall Blacks captain Kirk Penney rounded off his NBA Development League regular season with 12 points (3/9 FG, 1/4 3pt, 5/5 FT), four rebounds, three assists and a steal in a 112-95 win over Bakersfield Jam, their fifth consecutive win.

Sioux Falls finished 32-18 for the regular season, five games behind the Iowa Energy in the Eastern Conference, and now face Tulsa 66ers in the first round of playoffs, starting Thursday.

In four games, Penney averaged 23.8 points and shot 52.9% 3pt.
