Counties Manukau Basketball is seeking applications of interest in their Development Officer - Coaching and Referees position.

The successful applicant will work extensively in recruiting new coaches and referees, developing existing coaches and referees and recognizing the contribution of volunteer coaches/referees for basketball in the Counties Manukau region.

The goals to be achieved are:
- effective growth and development of coaching & referees
- manage player development for CMBB
- alignment of coaching & refereeing with national strategy
- increased participation
- effective management and support of volunteers

The Sport Development Officer for Basketball will:
- be a skilled facilitator
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- have the ability to recruit and lead a regional network of coaches in associations and schools
- be an advocate for basketball in the wider community
- have proven project management skills
- have the ability to plan strategically for coaching and refereeing development
- empower schools to help themselves
- have a passion for developing coaches and referees
