Trojans march on at WBC

Taranaki Trojans brought up their third victory of the weekend, defeating Canterbury Wildcats 67-48 as the 2012 Women’s Basketball Championship entered the second day of its second tournament.
Forwards Josie Stockill and Terai Sadler each had 17 points as their team improved their record to 6-3 for the season.
In the other early game of the day, Nelson Sparks accounted for Waikato Wizards 51-43, behind 15 points from Jelena Vucinic.
Hutt Valley continued their momentum, suffering just the one loss so far, with a win over Southland Kelvin Hotel Pearls, while titleholders Otago Oceana Goldrush kept their slim hopes alive over Palmerston North.
