Significant staff changes have taken place at Basketball New Zealand.
Communications manager Grant Chapman has taken up a new role within the organisation, that of national teams and communications general manager.
Chapman brings a valuable background in international events and communication, which will add a new dimension to the Tall Black and Tall Fern programmes.
He will be ably assisted by Natalie Tong, who will continue to oversee the athletes services programme. An assistant communications role will be advertised shortly.
Former field development officer Glenda Rodger has been re-designated as community basketball manager, thanks to funding assistance from the Lion Foundation.
Her immediate focus is a review of the structure of associations and membership fees, the preparation of a ìNo Exceptionsî plan and the rollout of the FIBA Organiser programme.
Cathy Gamba also has a new role, expanding on her fundraising skills to work with Andrew Alleway in co-ordinating events.
The BBNZ board recently reviewed applications for the position of CEO and an appointment is expected by the middle of November.
