Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors – Preview & Prediction (Nov. 08, 2025)
Game preview
The Philadelphia 76ers welcome the Toronto Raptors for a November evening matchup. Philly started the season hot with a 4–0 run but has cooled off recently, dropping three of four. One of those defeats came after a close loss in Chicago, and they followed that with a tougher outing against Cleveland. Joel Embiid has been on a minutes limit and has skipped some back-to-back games, but the team is gradually easing him back into a fuller role.
Tyrese Maxey is carrying a huge scoring load right now, averaging well into the 30s, while Quentin Grimes and Kelly Oubre Jr. are giving the offense solid support. The 76ers are one of the league’s best three-point shooting teams and their offense has been very efficient so far, putting up one of the top offensive ratings in the NBA.
The Raptors, meanwhile, have turned things around after a slow start. They were 1–4 early on but have strung together four straight wins, including quality victories over teams like Memphis and Milwaukee and a recent strong defensive performance that limited Atlanta to under 100 points. Toronto’s scoring has been balanced across RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl, and they’re also shooting well from deep while posting one of the better offensive ratings in the league. They lead the league in assists per game, showing good ball movement.
Matchup notes and prediction
Last season the Raptors swept the 76ers in their regular-season meetings, so Philly will want to flip that script at home. Injury reports going into this game list a couple of absences for the 76ers; Toronto appears to be relatively healthy and riding momentum from its win streak.
Philadelphia should benefit from having more rest and from playing at home. They also have the deeper roster on paper and a top-tier offense, so expect them to push the pace and try to control the game. Toronto’s defense and balanced scoring make them dangerous, but the Sixers look positioned to respond after their recent slump.
Tip-off: Saturday, 7:30 p.m. EST, November 8th
Prediction: Philadelphia 76ers by a narrow margin — pick: 76ers -3.5.
Note: Check final injury reports and starting lineups before placing any wagers. Game dynamics can change with late scratches or lineup adjustments.
