Jalen Williams to make season debut for the Oklahoma City Thunder

Back from wrist surgery and ready to play

Jalen Williams is finally set to return after missing the start of the season while recovering from wrist surgery. He played through a torn ligament during the Thunder’s title run last year and opted for surgery to address the issue. After a period of rest and rehabilitation, he’s been cleared to suit up again and is expected to make his season debut against the Phoenix Suns in Oklahoma City.

What his return means for the Thunder

The Thunder have roared out of the gate without him, sitting near the top of the standings with an impressive record. Adding Williams back gives head coach Mark Daigneault another reliable playmaker and scorer to plug into an already strong lineup. Last season Williams emerged as a key contributor, averaging 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game, and his presence should only deepen OKC’s attack.
