The Lakers rolled to a 128–104 victory over the Kings, but one of the most talked-about moments came from courtside: Novak Djokovic was watching the game. After the final buzzer, Djokovic shared a quick, friendly moment with Luka Don07ic and LeBron James and posed for photos with the pair.
Don07ic was visibly excited about Djokovic being there. He said he considers Djokovic one of the greatest of all time and was pumped that the tennis star came to see him play. Djokovic is in California preparing for the Indian Wells tournament, where he is chasing a sixth title and his first win at the event since 2016. He has made surprise appearances at Lakers games before, including watching one of Kobe Bryant’s final matchups and being courtside when LeBron hit the 40,000-point milestone.
How the Lakers pulled away
From the jump the Lakers played with pace, crisp ball movement and sharp shooting, building a lead early and steadily extending it through the middle quarters. Don07ic led the way with 28 points, running the offense with poise, while LeBron provided his usual all-around impact.
The team made the most of transition chances and fought for extra opportunities on the glass, turning second-chance points into a comfortable cushion. By the fourth quarter the margin was decisive, capping one of the Lakers’ more complete performances of the season.
