Hapoel Jerusalem has been looking at possible replacements following Jared Harper’s injury, and Lorenzo Brown has emerged as one of the names under consideration. Head coach Sasa Obradovic confirmed the club is exploring several options and described Brown as an excellent player, though he didn’t commit to any signing.
Brown is still under contract with Milano, and any move would depend on negotiations and the club’s final decision. The team appears intent on finding a steady playmaker at the point guard spot to keep the season on track.
Alternative venues and long-term goals
Off the court, Hapoel Jerusalem is also sorting out where it will host European matches amid ongoing uncertainty about playing at home. Owner Matan Adelson said the club has been discussing Cyprus as a possible venue instead of playing in Belgrade, and that the island offers some clear advantages if it’s feasible.
Adelson stressed that the club is pushing to bring European games back to Israel and welcomed recent high-level engagement on the issue, but admitted the matter isn’t entirely in the club’s hands. He also outlined broader ambitions: Hapoel is preparing a bid for a permanent EuroLeague license and aims to grow beyond relying on a single roster or coach.
Adelson praised the work done over the summer and highlighted the signing of Sasa Obradovic as a statement of intent. The message was simple — the club wants to compete for major honors in Israel and in Europe, and is focused on building a stable, long-term project rather than chasing quick fixes.
