Indiana Pacers vs Utah Jazz – Preview & Prediction (Feb. 03, 2026)

Game preview

Indiana has had a rough season after the high of last year’s playoff run. Injuries and inconsistent play have left them fighting to find form, but recent returns to health have helped expand their rotation and produced some brighter results. Over their last five games they’ve gone 3–2, with a notable win over the Thunder and close losses to the Hawks and Rockets. In that Houston game they fell 118–114 after a strong start; Pascal Siakam led the team in scoring and Bennedict Mathurin also had a big night. Overall the Pacers sit near the bottom of the East with a roughly 13–37 record, so every victory still feels valuable as they try to climb back.

The Jazz, meanwhile, have cooled off badly after a promising start. A string of injuries and thin depth have hurt their consistency, and they’ve managed just one win in their last 11 games. That lone victory was a surprising 127–122 home win over Minnesota, but it hasn’t been enough to salvage their position in the West—Utah is sitting well outside the play-in chase. They’re on a six-game losing streak and have only been competitive in a couple of those outings; their most recent game was a 107–100 loss to Toronto despite a strong effort from Lauri Markkanen.

These teams already met once this season and the Jazz won convincingly in that matchup, so Indiana will be looking for a better response at home. Availability will play a role: the Pacers will be missing Obi Toppin and Tyrese Haliburton, and the Jazz also have several players ruled out for this game.

Prediction and betting tip

Both teams have struggled on defense at times this season and are more likely to rely on scoring to win. With the Pacers starting to get healthier and the Jazz still leaning on their offensive strengths, this looks like a game that could push past the total. Expect an up-tempo affair with plenty of shot attempts from both sides.
