Dimitrijevic’s heroics lift Bayern to a 2–1 Finals lead
Bayern grab control in Game 3
Bayern pulled out a 91–83 road win over ALBA Berlin in Game 3 of the Bundesliga Finals and now lead the series 2–1. The visitors carried a slim early advantage after the first quarter (25–24) and managed to hold off a tough ALBA side that kept pushing all night.
Clutch plays, cold three-point period and the key performers
The second quarter was messy offensively, with both teams struggling from distance — neither side hit a three-pointer in that period, finishing a combined 0-for-8. Vladimir Lucic did his part for Bayern in the first half, scoring nine to help his team take a three-point edge into the break.
ALBA fought back in the third and briefly erased Bayern’s lead, but the visitors still entered the final period up by one. Early in the fourth, a 6–0 run gave the hosts a fleeting lead before Niels Giffey’s three quickly swung momentum back to Bayern.
ALBA stayed dangerous from deep, but Bayern matched them with efficient shooting of their own. A crucial block by Isiaha Mike stopped ALBA from tying the game and from that point Bayern steadily built a gap, eventually maintaining a nine-point cushion down the stretch to seal the win.
Nenad Dimitrijevic led Bayern with 19 points, while Lucic and Andreas Obst added 14 apiece. Jack Kayil finished as ALBA’s top scorer with 17. Game 4 is set for June 19 in Berlin, where ALBA will look to even the series and Bayern will have its first chance to clinch the title.
