Bam Adebayo reportedly punches Tyler Herro in Las Vegas after social media comments
Former Miami Heat teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro were reportedly involved in a physical altercation at a practice court in Las Vegas after a confrontation tied to comments made on social media.
What happened in Las Vegas
According to multiple reports, Adebayo walked onto a court where Herro was with his AAU team and a verbal exchange quickly escalated. Witnesses say Adebayo punched Herro; the AAU coach stepped in and security eventually escorted people away. Both players left the scene on their own.
Aftermath and context
The incident comes after a busy offseason for both players. Herro was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a large deal that involved several players and future draft picks, while Adebayo remains a centerpiece for the Heat.
Despite the reported scuffle, Herro appeared composed later that day during a Summer League interview and downplayed any lingering tension, saying, “It’s all love. It’s all love in Miami,” and noting he’d spoken with Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and members of the front office.
On the court last season Herro played in 33 games and averaged about 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists, while Adebayo was a consistent two-way presence across 73 games, averaging roughly 20.1 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
The reported altercation is surprising given how close the two appeared during their time together in Miami. Teammate banter from earlier years suggested a strong bond, which makes this summer’s fallout one of the more unexpected storylines of the NBA offseason.
