Tarik Biberović joins Dallas Mavericks after leaving Fenerbahçe
Mavericks sign Tarik Biberović
The Dallas Mavericks have officially added Tarik Biberović to their roster. The team confirmed the signing but, following club policy, didn’t reveal the financial terms. Dallas acquired Biberović’s rights as part of a larger, six-team transaction that also involved Santi Aldama coming from Memphis. As part of that deal the Mavericks sent guard AJ Johnson plus future draft considerations — a top-20 protected 2030 first-round pick (via Golden State) and a 2029 second-round pick (via Houston) — to Memphis.
The move gives Dallas another versatile forward with size, shooting chops and international experience as they continue to reshape their lineup.
From Fenerbahçe prospect to EuroLeague standout
Biberović spent eight seasons with Fenerbahçe, rising from a youngster in the system to an important rotation player. In the 2025–26 EuroLeague campaign he played 41 games and averaged 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists, establishing himself as a reliable perimeter threat and one of Europe’s promising young wings.
During his time in Istanbul he was part of a very successful era for the club, including a EuroLeague title in 2025 as well as multiple domestic trophies — league championships, Turkish Cup wins and a Super Cup. Now he’s ready to take the next step and test himself in the NBA, while his former team moves into an offseason marked by several notable departures.
