Endesa League playoffs confirmed
Quarterfinal matchups
The final regular-season game between Barcelona and Valencia wrapped things up and set the playoff bracket. Valencia delivered a commanding performance in that finale, taking control early and leaving Barcelona with little room to respond. That result finalized who faces whom in the first round.
The quarterfinal pairings are:
1. Real Madrid vs Tenerife
2. Valencia vs Bilbao
3. Baskonia vs Joventut
4. Murcia vs Barcelona
Series format and quick notes
The quarterfinals use a 1–1–1 format, so the first team to collect two wins moves on to the semifinals. Teams that finished higher in the regular-season standings will host the opening games of those series.
Both the semifinals and the final will be contested in a best-of-five format, meaning teams will need three wins to lift the trophy.
On individual honors and coaching news: Sergio De Larrea was recognized as the league’s best young player this season, and after a successful spell, coach Ibon Navarro is set to depart Unicaja. Expect plenty of storylines as the playoffs get underway.
