Jordan Ford Moves from Trapani to Bahcesehir
The signing
Bahcesehir have added 185-cm American guard Jordan Ford to their roster. The club confirmed the move and Ford has already taken part in his first training session at Sinan Erdem Spor Salonu. Coach Marko Barac gets a fresh option in the backcourt as the team pushes for big results this season.
Ford arrives after a spell with Trapani in Italy. The Sicilian club has been struggling off the court lately, and several players and staff have left in recent weeks — Ford decided it was the right time to change scenery.
Why this matters
This season in Serie A Ford averaged 13.3 points and 4.4 assists per game, and his performances previously with Trento drew interest from across Europe. He should bring scoring and playmaking to Bahcesehir, likely slotting into guard rotations and pick-and-roll duties.
Off the court the club has been active too, with Nemanja Bjelica playing a key role in strengthening the organization. On the court Bahcesehir sit near the top of the Turkish Super League (10–3) and are also competitive in the EuroCup (8–4), so Ford is joining a team that expects to compete at a high level for the rest of the season.
Expect him to be integrated quickly — he knows European basketball and can give the team a late-game scoring threat and additional ball distribution. Fans will be watching to see how he fits into Barac’s system in the coming weeks.
